National Diversity Council Announces New Chief Financial Officer

The National Diversity Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Hooper as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As the leading organization dedicated to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace, the National Diversity Council is committed to empowering organizations to create more inclusive environments where all individuals can thrive.

“We are thrilled to welcome our new CFO, Dawn Hooper,” said Anika Rahman, CEO of the National Diversity Council. “Not only is she profoundly committed to DEIB, but she also brings to NDC deep financial expertise in the nonprofit and corporate sectors that will be invaluable in ensuring that we remain a trusted resource and an advocate for workplaces and communities.” 

Dawn is a Certified Public Accountant with over three decades of financial leadership experience, including 13 years in the non-profit sector. She has a passion for identifying and correcting process inefficiencies and has been instrumental in streamlining financial systems throughout her career. Dawn has also invested much time learning about impact investing with a gender lens and leads initiatives in social impact investing.

Prior to joining the National Diversity Council, Hooper held several financial leadership roles, including being CFO at Texas Women’s Foundation, and holding other senior roles at Susan G. Komen and A3D Technologies.
